The Advanced Materials and Structures Lab (AMSL) at HTWK Leipzig conducts research on lightweight fiber-reinforced composites and multifunctional energy-storage composites (supercapacitors and batteries) for vehicles and lightweight structures. Its research also covers nanocomposites for sensors and biosensors as well as 3D structures for soft robotics, developed using simulation and additive manufacturing.
