BMW Group Werk Leipzig

„In 2001, Leipzig prevailed against 250 applicants in the decision for a new plant. Decisive factors included location, infrastructure and popularity in the region. Thanks to its highly qualified and committed employees, our plant is now the largest industrial operation in Leipzig.“

Production began at the BMW Group Plant Leipzig in 2005. Today, over 1,000 BMW and MINI vehicles roll off the production line here every day. Leipzig was the birthplace of e-mobility at BMW with the BMW i3. High-voltage batteries have also been produced here since 2021. In total, more than five billion euros have already been invested. Over 10,000 people work at the plant site.
